How to talk about your art work....

You never "just" do something you explain the painstaking care, love, thought, and planning that goes into every line, brush stroke, paper selection and glimmer mist squirt:) If you just spray some colored paint on a piece of paper it does not sound like you put a lot of thought into it and you just made your work seem juvenile. However, if you tell someone, "Your theme was to evoke visions of multidimensional rainbows by using transparent color medium in random patterns." Then you have elevated your work to that of a professional just by changing your vocabulary.

Ultra Micro Mini Junk Journal

2" tall by 1" wide, with a pocket, tag, and two signatures:) That was fun!

Chip board scrap challenge

I had a pile of scrap chipboard that I could never seem to use up, so I challenged myself to use it. I

ended up with 22 sets of covers and spines. Some are ridiculously small but it will be fun to see what

transpires. Finished one journal from the pile yesterday. It is 8.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide with 9

signatures. Only one pocket on the front cover, this one turned out to be all about writing.

Short Journal Progress

I got the pages of my "Short Journal" bound. Each page of the journal is one month. It it broken up into sections. The front of the page has a journaling spot to write one word for the day. The next page has journaling spots to write a few sentences about the week. There is a pocket that faces the "week" spots with tags, and the last page has a journaling spot to write a paragraph or two about the month. Embellishments will be added as the year progresses. I did a tutorial on how i made the pages. http://youtu.be/pJ-4_MxRINk
